The Elementary Curriculum provides a logical educational
progression for children who have a Montessori
background. The last year in the primary
program gives children the opportunity to begin to
conceptualize the knowledge that they have been
accumulating in school. This process is expanded in the
elementary environment where the curriculum is built
upon the foundation laid in the primary program. The
curriculum includes: math-arithmetic and geometry;
language- penmanship, reading, spelling, grammar,
sentence analysis, creative writing; botany; zoology;
geography; and history. The subjects are interrelated
and are presented to help children establish their
places in the world and help them gain an understanding
of the interdependence of all things.
